Andrew: Saturday’s birthday beer share was a success! Everyone got to try a ton of great beer (the highlights are in the lineup above). My guests brought way too much beer, which is hardly a bad thing, but I don’t have much space in my NYC apartment to store the leftovers. I actually had to give away about 10 bottles because I couldn’t fit it all in the fridge and have room for food.
Thanks to all of my guests for bringing such great beers and good times!
Here’s the lineup (in order of what we drank):
Russian River Pliny the Elder
Stone RuinTen
Maine Beer Co Peeper Ale
Founders Doom
Alchemist Heady Topper
Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale
Dogfish Head Festina Peche
Founders Devil Dancer
Maine Beer Co. MO
Troegs Nugget Nectar
Stone RuinTen (again)
Maine Beer Co Zoe
Dogfish Head 75 Min Ale
Dogfish Head Festina Peche (again)
Ballast Point Sculpin IPA
Eric: Of the above, the most mind-blowing to me was Founder’s Doom. Usually a beer like this would make me ‘ew’ but this time the bourbon and caramel flavors bugged me out (in a good way). I don’t think I would want to drink a whole bottle myself, but it’s perfect to share with your favorite BrewBoyz.
