The West Village has a brand new place to relax and enjoy a glass of delicious craft beer: Carmine Street Beers! It’s the same location (52 A Carmine Street), but owner Shane Monteiro spent the last few months renovating the former bottle shop into a taproom. You can stay and have a beer from their ever rotating taplist, take a growler to go, or buy some bottles or cans.
Even though the space has transformed, it’s still the best place in the neighborhood to buy bottles and cans. There are still just as many as before to choose from—around 500 different varieties.
I visited last weekend, and really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. I wish I lived in the neighborhood, because I’d love to have the convenience of popping in for a pint, as an alternative to the hustle and bustle of a bar. Plus, what’s better than enjoying a beer on tap and then walking out of the same store with some top-shelf bottles?
So come on by and check out Manhattan’s newest taproom! You won’t leave disappointed.
